I guess Barack Obama is human after all. He went into Wednesday evening’s press conference with the goal of convincing the American public that a massive government overhaul of the U.S. health care system is a good idea. He failed.

Instead, he stepped on a political land mine when he weighed in on the arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Gates. Obama and his political team had to know that he’d get that question.
