You are a fool and wrong. You predict a politically motivated strike back. Not only were you wrong, but your political motivations becomes clear--if Obama strikes back you call it "politically motivated," if he doesn't you call him "weak." Nice little rhetorical trap. George W. Bush, who did precisely what you said...used a disaster to make a politically motivated strike against a uninvolved foreign nation in Iraq...has been a total disaster for 7 years. Thousands of dead Americans and tens of thousands of dead Iraqis attest to his error.

Your claim for a "war" against America is also silly. In what war has the enemy made only one successful attack? That's not a testament to our efforts at security--after all, any idiot with a gun could scream about Allah and shoot a half dozen people--but rather to the lack of a sustained campaign against us. You are far more likely to die in a car accident or from being poisoned by industry than a terrorist attack in the U.S.

Here's a news flash for you: building positive relations with Islamic countries prevents the resentment (right or wrong) that inspires terrorism. Antagonism provokes terrorism. The Leader of the Free World is wise to protect his nation by ensuring that other countries and their people don't hate us. If you were the "defense policy analyst" you calaim to be, you'd know that.
