Democratic Elitism at its Finest

Posted by Tom Skypek

Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.  Governor Palin shares John McCain’s commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush’s failed economic policies — that’s not the change we need, it’s just more of the same.

- Bill Burton, Obama Spokesman

Leave it to the Democrats to continue to their assault on small town America.  I’m proud to be from one of those small towns and I find Mr. Burton’s comments insulting.  Sen. Obama revealed his feelings about small town America months ago when he said that voters in Pennsylvania clung to “guns and religion” out of bitterness.  Seems to me like Sen. Obama just doesn’t understand true American values.  We don’t all shop at Whole Foods and we don’t care what the price arugula is.

Burton also failed to mention that Governor Palin has more executive experience than Barack Obama and Joe Biden combined.  His charges are terribly uncreative.  The Obama campaign is grasping at straws.  No class.

You have got to be kidding me. My favorite is “Seems like Senator Obama is out of touch with American values.”

It seems to me someone completely missed a speech this past Thursday. That’s a shame, because it’s really un-American to keep your head in the sand when such an important election is 65 days away.

Grasping at straws? A woman was the mayor of a town of 9,000 is a heartbeat away from possibly becoming the president, and this party is okay with that. At least the Democratic party lives in what we normal people call “reality”, and realizes that this is an awful pick, due to her vast inexperience. Obama’s camp pointed out everything that was wrong with it, to which there are many more points you failed to mention. Typical.

Your blog and its message will provide me the highest of high comedy from here until Election Day.
